Charlottenburg is the refined face of old West Berlin. Here you'll find the Baroque Charlottenburg Palace, the Berlin Zoo and, in the Kurfürstendamm, the city's storied shopping mile. The Memorial Church on Breitscheidplatz is a landmark of the postwar era, with the KaDeWe just a stone's throw away. Broad boulevards, dignified old buildings and well-kept squares shape the scene.
