2. General information on data processing

We process personal data of our users only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as our content and services. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent), (b) GDPR (contract) and (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

3. Hosting

4. Cookies and tag management (Google Tag Manager)

We use Google Tag Manager, a service of Google Ireland Limited. The Tag Manager manages embedded services and tags. Where cookies that are not technically necessary are set, this happens only on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG. 5. Affiliate links (Stay22 and GetYourGuide)

On this website we embed affiliate offers from partners to arrange hotels, accommodations, tours and tickets:

  • Stay22 (Stay22 Inc.) to display accommodations on an interactive map. When the Stay22 widget loads, data (including IP address, approximate location, device information) may be transmitted to Stay22 and connected booking sites.
  • GetYourGuide (GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH) to arrange tours and activities. When you click a GetYourGuide link, an identifier (e.g. via cookies or URL parameters) is transmitted for commission attribution.

If you book or purchase via these links, we receive a commission at no extra cost to you. The legal basis for setting consent-based cookies is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR; otherwise, our legitimate interest in financing the offering pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. 6. Advertising (Google AdSense)

Where activated, we use Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to embed advertisements. AdSense uses cookies and comparable technologies to deliver ads and measure their delivery. Data such as your IP address and usage behavior may be processed and transmitted to Google. This happens only on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG. 7. Contact form (Web3Forms)

For our contact form we use the Web3Forms service. When you contact us via the form, the data you enter (name, email address, message) is transmitted to us and stored via Web3Forms to process your request. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract. The data is deleted once it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.
