Köpenick

Köpenick is the greenest and most water-rich district in Berlin. Here the Spree and the Dahme meet, joined by vast forests and lakes such as the Müggelsee, the largest lake in the city. The historic old town with its palace and town hall recalls the famous Captain of Köpenick and invites a quiet stroll. With Treptower Park and the mighty Soviet War Memorial, one of the city's most impressive sites of remembrance lies in the west of the district.
