Friedrichshain
Friedrichshain is Berlin's nightlife district par excellence. Around Revaler Straße, Boxhagener Platz and Warschauer Straße you'll find some of the city's best-known clubs, plus countless bars, corner shops and late-night stores. By day, the East Side Gallery, the longest surviving stretch of the Berlin Wall, draws visitors from around the world. The Oberbaum Bridge links the neighborhood across the Spree to Kreuzberg.
Out here you'll find everything a young, international crowd looks for, from the cheap breakfast café on "Boxi" to the craft-beer bar. The farmers' market on Boxhagener Platz and the adjoining weekend flea market are a must. For an overnight stay, Friedrichshain is ideal if you turn night into day and appreciate short walks to clubs and late-night stores.
